In alignment with the lunar calendar, Maria is reviving the ceremonial space at Kindred with deeper intention, presence, and cultivation. These gatherings, honoring the natural energetic shifts of each month, occur on the full or new moon.

Healing unfolds within community. Each ceremony is thoughtfully crafted to match the collective energy of the group. Guided by sound, a carefully curated playlist anchors the yoga practice, accessible to all bodies and levels. Maria integrates breathwork, somatic release, hands-on assists, Thai massage, and Reiki—practices rooted in Indigenous and Eastern traditions—to support participants in deeply connecting with their bodies.

These ceremonies further integrate creative expression through art practices, allowing participants to process and ground emotions arising from movement. Art channels the subconscious, promoting healing through flow and play.

Together, we enter altered states of awareness, creating pathways for healing, renewal, and perspective. In this supportive community space, shared energy enhances the depth of the experience.

Each moon ceremony is guided by a theme aligned with seasonal cycles, inviting intention, ritual, and practice as tools for collective healing. We gather in circles to remember the sacredness of coming together, a tradition that is grounding and liberating. Ceremony becomes a refuge from the outside world's demands, promoting authenticity and quiet rebellion. The evening's flow is co-created as each person's presence shapes the circle's energy.

Maria serves as the circle's doula, holding space with steadiness and care, ensuring participants feel safe to journey inward and explore their personal practices while being anchored in community.

Space is limited for this intimate container, accommodating only eight participants.

Sound Bath

This fall, step into a nurturing, supportive journey for expecting parents at Kindred. 

Prepare for the journey of birth with support, guidance, and community in our Labour & Delivery Workshop. This two-hour session is designed for expecting parents and their partners, offering practical tools, hands-on practice, and a space to build confidence for the birth experience.

Rooted in prenatal yoga, hands-on bodywork, and doula care, this workshop draws on my experience as a massage therapist and osteopathy student to guide parents in connecting deeply with their bodies, their babies, and each other. Together, we create a gentle, supportive space where questions are welcome, fears can be released, and trust in your body’s wisdom for birth can grow.

In this workshop, you will:
-Learn about the stages of labour and what to expect physically and emotionally at each stage
-Explore movement, positions, and comfort techniques to ease labour during each stage
-Practice breathing, relaxation, and mindfulness strategies to stay grounded
-Gain hands-on guidance for partners to support labour effectively

Join us for prenatal yoga, where our Yin Yoga-inspired restorative practice focuses on the body's fascial connections. This nurturing approach targets joints, connective tissues, and muscles, promoting mobility, body awareness, and relaxation. Expectant mothers can honor their changing bodies and connect with their babies in a supportive space.

Enhance your experience with hands-on assisted yoga, blending my expertise in Thai Massage, massage therapy, and osteopathic training, infused with Reiki's love and intention. With years as a bodyworker and birth doula, my goal is to leave you feeling lighter and more mobile.

Exciting news! At the end of November, I'll be offering a Labour and Delivery course to guide mothers and birthing partners through labor's stages and explore comfort measures for each phase.

Each session is lovingly crafted and can be tailored to suit your unique needs, no matter the trimester. Classes are billable under your massage therapy benefits. I look forward to supporting you on this beautiful journey.

Family Yoga

Join us on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 PM for a four-week series where we explore the body using the principles of osteopathy, viewing the body as a holistic system. Classes are designed around the group's energy, with the intention of enhancing the body's vitality. We'll focus on increasing joint mobility, improving muscle circulation, and connecting breath with movement, all while cultivating loving awareness and compassion to deepen the mind-body connection.

Each class will serve as an exploration into the body through a playful and intuitive approach, embracing the concept of the body as an integrated system. Expect a different theme each session as Maria, a second-year osteopathic student, incorporates her knowledge into the class format. This brings a deeper sense of awareness with education on anatomy to enhance your body awareness. Whether you're going through a life transition, dealing with chronic pain, or feeling burnt out, the goal of this class is to foster a deeper connection to your body and support your journey of self-discovery.

Classes are open to all levels and body types, with modifications available to ensure inclusivity for everyone.
